Friday prof. Guido Imbens (Winner Nobel Prize 2021 Economics / professor Economic Sciences @ Stanford University) and Georgios Sarigiannidis (per 1 January 2025 the new CEO of ORTEC) visited the profoundly gifted students of Mandeville Academy for a meet & greet. That same afternoon Pien Oosterman, VPO at Vitec Software Group, lectured the students on investment beliefs and strategy. Following the last lecture of prof Imbens 2023, he seized to opportunity to pick up a token of appreciation (ancient mathematics book from 1642). Georgios Sarigiannidis received a first edition of the book ‘I, Robot’ by Isaac Asimov because he will guide ORTEC on the road to becoming a global market leader in the field of operations research.
