Complexity & Uncertainty and Preventable Blind launched

Lex Hoogduin teaches the Complexity & Uncertainty course. This subject is the common thread through the curriculum of Mandeville Academy. The students learn complexity thinking. As (exceptionally) gifted people, they are uniquely able to reduce complex, multidisciplinary problems into understandable blocks. An example of a complex problem is avoidable blindness in Africa. Hundreds of thousands of people suffer preventable blindness every year. In most cases due to a neglected cataract. Frans Hiddema, former CEO of the Rotterdam Eye Hospital, teaches this case study. The students get to work on solving this multidisciplinary problem.
